19th BUSHO CALL FOR ENTRIES CLOSED

This year, for the 19th time, the BuSho Short Film Festival was open for entries and, to the great delight of the organisers and selectors, there was once again a huge number of entries from all over the world. We’ll be back soon with the usual detailed statistics, but for now there’s nothing left to do but to go ahead, the eyes of the world are on the pre-jury.

In the meantime, the short film world is waking up again after hibernation and we have started the 2023 activation. Unfortunately, the 43rd IFSAK Festival in Istanbul has been postponed due to the Turkish earthquakes, although the best Hungarian films from last year’s BuSho were already included in their programme. Fortunately, the same selection has been screened in Sofia and, incredible as it may seem, the usual presentation in Kiev is in preparation.

Coinciding with the (n+1)st screening in Stuttgart at the end of February, we have been collecting the best films while being part of the international jury of the Ibiza Cinefest, and now we are eagerly awaiting the results of the previously announced 26th ZOOM – ZBLIĆ»ENIA in Poland, where 3 Hungarian shorts have been selected for the competition.

After Easter, we will be looking ahead to the summer film and music camps and of course the announcement of the BuSho competition programme on 1 May.
